Estilo Cards Review: March 2015

Estilo Cards, if you have missed my previous reviews, is a simple subscription service. Each month, they send you 3-4 cards along with envelopes, seals, and stamps, for you to use for a variety of reasons. Each month also has a theme so you will see cards for multiple occasions throughout the year and with different styles.

Estilo Cards Review: February 2015

I'm pretty excited about Estilo Cards! I just love the quality of them and I love that they're made by independent artists, not to mention that they even send you the stamps! After trying them out one month, I decided to subscribe and I'm so glad I have.

With it being February, there was clearly an emphasis on cards relating to love, but all of these can be used for various occasions, which I like. I enjoy having cards ready for any reasons and Estilo helps with that. 

The first card was a hand drawn heart, labeled Corina. The card was made as part of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center's Children's Art Project. Corina is a ten-year-old girl from Houston, according to the card. I love that a card like this is included, and I think it really demonstrates how awesome Estilo Cards is. 

Estilo Cards Review: January 2015

When I was younger, I used to love writing and receiving letters. I had pen pals all over the world, which was such a nerdy thing to do, but there was something special about getting mail. During high school, I moved a couple times and I kept in touch with my old friends via letters, because it was before email. (I'm really not that old. The Internet just kind of took over the world really quickly.)

These days, I don't have much use for cards and letters, because people have Facebook and email and texting and basically every other form of communication. Why wait for the mail, right? Well, if there was ever a reason, Estilo might be it.

Estilo Cards is a subscription service that sends you three cards a month, with envelopes and stamps, all designed by local artists (they're from Austin, TX). The cards can range in purpose from just conversational cards to birthday or holiday or special event cards. Whatever their occasion, they are all gorgeous - and I am planning to sign up soon because they're just too pretty to pass up. Maybe we can all bring letter writing back after all!

Artistry Gift Wrap Review: February 2015

If you're anything like me, you always end up forgetting about gift wrap until you need it, and then you find yourself in CVS grabbing tissue paper and a gift bag on your way to a party or wedding. I simply don't think about it except at Christmas, and then I complain endlessly about how expensive it is. So when I came across Artistry Gift Wrap, I was intrigued. Although we don't have a ton of gift-giving opportunities, I still love having gift wrap and packaging available, to avoid those CVS moments. Plus, they offer great options - including a monthly subscription at $15, a bimonthly subscription at $25, and a quarterly subscription at $35. All of these are completely reasonable for what you get and you have the added bonus of always having items on hand when you need them. In addition, they customize for you, so if you're more of a gift bag person than a wrapping paper shopper, you will likely see a bigger mix or even just gift bags.

Since it's February, the theme this month is Valentine's Day. My husband and I don't really celebrate the holiday, figuring we should treat every day like it's special rather than waiting for one day a year. However, almost all the items in this order can be used for other occasions as well, and the few Valentine's Day specific items could be used for a parent or friend if you don't have a significant other or don't celebrate.
