Honest Company Essentials Pack: April 2015

I think it's clear that we are big fans of The Honest Company here. Now that I've been getting the Essentials Pack for a while, I am able to order the concentrate refills for many of the items, rather than new bottles, which is nice as well!

I picked the concentrates for the bathroom cleaner, floor cleaner, and multi-surface cleaner this time around. I don't really need them yet, but I like having them on hand and they're small enough that you can store them easily. I had to get the full bottle of the stain remover, though, because it's my first time getting it.

Crafty Gets Honest

About three years ago, I stumbled on The Honest Company when I was looking for a diaper alternative for my third child, who was about to be born. I had used cloth with my first and tried again with my second, but the sitter I had was unwilling to work with them. Although they were not cloth, The Honest Company's diapers seemed like a better choice than regular ones from the store. For a long list of reasons, I never ended up ordering from them, though, and mostly forgot about them.

Back then, I knew nothing about subscription boxes. I looked at the page and moved on and never came back to it. So when Boxy said to me a few months ago, "You should really check out The Honest Company," I was full of questions. I'd thought Honest only made baby products and Boxy doesn't have any kids. I couldn't figure out why she was recommending it to me since she wouldn't be buying diapers! She explained that, along with baby products, they also have household cleaners, bath and beauty products, and even vitamins.

I am always happy when my Essentials Bundle comes from The Honest Company. No one else can make me this excited about a box of cleaning supplies! This is a new selection of items, too, so I was looking forward to it even more.

I have been so impressed with my products from Honest Company, so this month's box is mostly repeats of the items I use a lot with a few new additions. Next month is going to be quite different, but I really wanted to get more detergent for the dishwasher, since this stuff works better than anything I've ever used!

Honest Company Essentials Bundle Review

I hadn't realized prior to ordering that Jessica Alba (yes, that Jessica Alba) is one of the founders of Honest Co. It wouldn't have affected my ordering or anything, but I do like seeing people who have pull in the world doing something to give back and improve it.

Honest Co. is mostly a family company - with a focus on leaving the world better for your children. However, in addition to baby products and diapers, they also have a cleaning products line, a line of beauty products, and vitamins and wellness products.

Honest has three essential packages, which are basically starter packs to let you decide if you want to subscribe long-term. I ordered the Essentials Bundle, which included beauty and cleaning supplies. I've also now decided to subscribe monthly, because you get five full sized items (from their beauty and cleaning lines) for $35.95. You also can change which items you get each month and they make almost everything!
