Treatsie Review: April 2015

This is going to be a terrible review, because I have to admit something. I have a ridiculous Treatsie addiction. The reason the review will be terrible is because I didn't get pictures of the box, since I was so quick to tear the box open and start enjoying it!

So every month, before your subscription box ships, Treatsie also invites you to add on treats. I gave in this month and added a few as well, and the shipment notice came in about a week before it arrived. On scheduled delivery day, I waited quite impatiently. The FedEx driver didn't come until after 7 PM!!! I asked my husband every ten minutes if the box had come, but thankfully it finally did. At which point, I opened and split the box between us and started enjoying my portion. Only to realize I didn't have my camera.

One of this month's featured items were marshmallows between butter cookies and held together with caramel. Although this sounds yummy, these had gelatin and so they were taken to my husband's work with him to be given away.

Another of the featured item's was the PB&J chocolate bar, which is made with peanut praline and raspberry pate. I haven't tried this yet but it sounds fantastic and knowing Treatsie, it will be.

Orange Glad Review: April 2015

Well, this is ridiculous. This box is too good to exist, I think. I have to warn you that if you try Orange Glad, you won't be able to stop ordering from them. Unless you simply hate joy.

The first item in the box was a pack of Dreams Come Chew from QUIN. This is the second item I've tried from QUIN, but this is the first item in all the snack boxes that inspired me to order more. I bought two full-size bags of this after sampling it, because it's that good. I'm actually a big fan of Starburst, but since they contain gelatin, I don't eat them. QUIN's Dreams Come Chew is handmade vegan Starburst basically and it's amazing.

Then there were chocolate chip butter biscuits. They came broken, sadly, but that's okay, because they didn't last long enough to need to be in one piece. Wow, these are awesome, and wow, Orange Glad just really knows how to pack a box of happy treats.

Candy Adriatico Review: March 2015

When Candy Adriatico reached out to me a while ago about reviewing their subscription box, I was interested but wary. I have had inconsistent success with international foods, mainly because of the ingredients. I had no idea what to expect from foods from Eastern Europe, since I don't know a great deal about the region (although it's one of the places on the absolute top of my must-see travel list).

I really enjoyed my first box and so I was excited to see what was in store for March! Because of issues with shipments, this one actually shipped before I had the February box in hand (not anyone's fault - just the slow nature of customs).

Treatsie Review: March 2015

Treatsie makes me very happy and I get so excited when the boxes are on their way! This month's box was no exception.

The first item was a bag of chocolate-covered macaroons from Stay Sweet Macs. I love chocolate and I love macaroons, so these were awesome!

Orange Glad Review: March 2015

Orange Glad sends these lovely cards with each subscription box delivery that explain each item, as well as offer suggested "enjoy by" dates. This would be useful... if I didn't polish off the box in one sitting! ;)

We subscribe to the double treats box because otherwise my husband would never see the box. This way we can enjoy the treats together and we don't have to fight to share.

To be totally honest, I had all kinds of issues with the Orange Glad system this month, and I eventually ended up canceling for something that was really a complication on my end and not theirs. Through the whole process, Andy was so nice and helpful and after the entire mess, I resubscribed and now the system and everything seems in place. I want to make this clear because they could have basically ignored me or just been quick to resolve the issue, but they really did go above and beyond to help me with something that I seem to have made far more complicated than it needed to be! I appreciate that a lot, because running a business is hard enough and to have the kind of service that really does take time for customers personally is a major perk for me.

Treatsie Best of 2014 Box Review

The worst thing happened to me this past month - I discovered Treatsie. No, not because they're not an amazing subscription box or for any fault of their own. No, the problem is that these boxes are amazing. Too amazing. I need to lock them in a vault in another room and have someone else control the key, because otherwise I just tell myself, "only one more" until there are no more left!! ;) In addition to the regular subscription box this month, I decided to splurge for the Best of 2014 special edition box. Luckily I can report I have barely been able to touch this yet. (Not for lack of wanting to, but I have so many snacks!) All of the items in this box, except for two, were full sized (and generally very large). The first item is a milk chocolate bar in cinnamon brown sugar. I cannot wait to enjoy this! There was also an almond butter cup from Buddha Chocolate. I haven't tried this yet, but I love almonds and I love peanut butter cups, so I'm sure it's wonderful.

Treatsie Review: February Subscription Box

Oh, man, Treatsie makes a nice box! I feel a little silly sitting here with all my healthy snacks in the pantry while my Treatsie box doesn't even make it that far. This is a dangerous subscription box. I paused a lot of my candy subscriptions, but Treatsie's box is more dessert type treats from artisans than candy exactly. And it is very good.

We already get the double box because my husband and I like each getting our own and ideally the box should last the whole month that way. This month, Treatsie had the deal where you got double treats so my box is ridiculous. (In the best possible way.)
