I may have said this before, but Companion Tees is the best subscription ever! They always send perfect shirts, whether in their monthly grab bag or in the monthly subscription like this one. Since their monthly grab bag, for me, includes three shirts, I get that one in a box, but the regular subscription comes in the TARDIS. :)

Companion Tees/Once upon a Tee Monthly Grab Bag: April 2015
I don't remember how I found Companion Tees originally, but man am I happy I did! Each month, I get two shipments from them: a Whovian shirt and a three-shirt grab bag that is a mix of Whovian shirts and plain old geeky stuff from Once Upon a Tee. This month's grab bag is AMAZING!!
The first shirt is "I Geek, Therefore I Am." A. I love this because making the already geeky Descartes even geekier is awesome and B. I love the franchises featured. You have Star Wars, Sherlock, Star Trek, Doctor Who, and Firefly. Um, yes, please? LOVE THIS.
The next shirt is a Whovian one and it's awesomely inspirational. I agree, too. So the Doctor can show up anytime, because I'm ready. I already have a bag packed. :D
Finally, I couldn't be more excited about the last one. I saw this design and actually sent it to my husband as an image because I loved it so much. It's hard to see in the picture, but it says "Still Waiting for" and then there are nine things: screwdrivers (sonic, of course), acceptance letter (with the Hogwarts seal), super powers, magic balls, minions, pet dragon, perfect neighbor, cake, and Season 2 (with the Serenity). This is perfect.

Companion Tees Review: March 2015
If you love Doctor Who as much as I do, you probably tend to find yourself quoting or referencing things that no one understands. It's a little unacceptable, I think, since it's not like the show is new. But anyway.
So when I stumbled upon Companion Tees and their monthly Whovian shirts subscriptions, I signed up for both. Obviously. I don't have to dress up for work, so I love t-shirts - and t-shirts that embrace all the things I enjoy make me very happy!

Month in Review: Hits and Misses of March 2015
March was a much longer month and there were a lot of stragglers from February that ended up being delivered in March due to weather and so on. Some of those end up in the mix for March because they deserve a fair shot, too. I also decided to cut back on a lot, although that will really impact April and moving forward from there since there will be far fewer boxes coming.
Fortunately, there were no horrible issues as there had been these past few months with French Box, Try the World, and Loot Crate. Instead, this month's misses are really just based on my personal preferences and interests. There were some that were a lot worse than others for me, but honestly, none of these are boxes I would strongly advise other people not to order if they thought it felt like a match for them. I am happy to say that, this month, they're just things I didn't like. Some I STRONGLY disliked, but again, to each his own.

Companion Tees Monthly Grab Bag Review: March 2015
I'm pretty sure that if Companion Tees were a person, he/she would be my best friend. I have mentioned before that I love them, as well as their sister site We Heart Geeks. They also are partnered with Once upon a Tee.
There are three subscriptions available through Once upon a Tee/Companion Tees. Both Once upon a Tee and Companion Tees have a one shirt a month subscription in their theme - that's Legend of Zelda for Once upon a Tee and Doctor Who for Companion Tees. The shirts selected for this subscription are part of their limited edition runs/exclusive runs for that month. In addition, Companion Tees offers a monthly Whovian grab bag of one to three shirts. These are from previous months.
One of the only reasons I was sticking it out with Nerd Block/Arcade Block/Horror Block was because I liked the shirts. I had figured that even if everything else wasn't for me, at least the shirts could be worn. However, when I realized that for the same price (actually slightly less than only one block), I could get three shirts that were all related to Doctor Who each month, it was obvious that I would be happier with this.
I really loved all three shirts in this month's grab bag, so I am off to a great start!

Companion Tees Review: February 2015
Guys, Companion Tees is literally the best thing ever. (This might be confusing but Companion Tees and Once upon a Tee are basically the same company, except your monthly subscription to Once upon a Tee gets you a Legend of Zelda themed shirt each month, while Companion Tees sends you a Whovian shirt monthly. They also are run by the same group of people as We Heart Geeks, who provide a variety of items but no subscription yet. In combination, my life is better for these three companies being it.)
I already loved Companion Tees before I even got my first subscription shirt, thanks to the random shirt I ordered out of their monthly collection (they run a la carte shopping with a limited selection that is only available for a limited time).
So this was my first month - and they did not disappoint! They knocked this one right out of the park! I am so excited about my shirt selection!!

February 2015: Month in Review (Hits and Misses)
As we did last month, I wanted to do a review of the hits and misses for subscription boxes for February. There were utter disasters again, as well as lots of amazing arrivals and new subscriptions.
MISSES
As I did in January, I think it's better to start with the constructive so you can end on a positive note. Some of these are seriously bad and others were just not fits for me personally, although sadly I have to say I've seen less of just meh items than outright terrible business this month. I have noticed that you can get a fairly good sense of the quality of a subscription box by the service via email or on social media. The more active and engaged the company is, the more likely your box will really be what you expected and the more the products will be higher quality. Companies who seem to be interested in just jumping on a bandwagon of where they think they money is, or those who are far more interested in being huge, tend to place customers at the bottom of their priorities and it shows not only in their interactions but also in the way they put together the boxes and select products. Some are beginning to feel like a cardboard box full of nothing but ads.

Companion Tees/Once upon a Tee Shirt Review: British at Heart
Sometimes you come across things online and you think, "that looks perfect." Sadly, though, you end up being disappointed, either because the product isn't as good as you'd hoped or because the company has unethical practices or terrible customer service.
Other times, you stumble across something and you wonder how you were alive before you realized it existed. Your whole life prior to the company feels hollow and empty. That's how I feel about Companion Tees/Once upon a Tee. Not only do they have a subscription service (either Legend of Zelda or Doctor Who themed shirts sent each month), but they also have some of the best customer service I've ever seen. AND their shirts... My God, their shirts!
But that was how I felt until the package arrived. Once it arrived, I mourned for the moments of my life when I didn't know this was a thing! Look at this envelope! I would buy this just for the envelope, but that's only the beginning.
