Junior Explorers Review: February 2015

I am so far behind on this review! Back at the end of January, I ordered Junior Explorers for my eight-year-old son to try out when I saw a deal through Groupon. Life got in the way, though. Since I work nights, we usually wait until the weekends to look at boxes that for them so we can spend quality time together. However, between ongoing weekend events and the moods of an eight-year-old, we finally got the chance to check it out this past weekend!

Nerd Block, Jr. Girls Review: March 2015

I knew signing up for Nerd Block, Jr. was kind of a dumb move, since I don't have kids, but I was suckered in by the promise of Harry Potter stuff (it turned out to be kind of junk, though). Last month's Nerd Block, Jr. was great (I only get the girls' box), but this is clearly not a subscription box for me and that was more of a fluke, I think. 

This month's box was pretty terrible, although maybe not for kids. Two of the six items were repeats from the Classic Nerd Block (recent ones, too, including something from THIS MONTH). The other items just didn't really do much for me and don't seem to really fit the girl theme, but again, I knew going in that this was a mistake. 

Green Kid Crafts Review: Slime Monsters Kit

Last month, Green Kid Crafts was offering a deal on the Slime Monsters kit. I decided to check this out for my three-year-old, and I am very glad I did! The really nice thing about Green Kid Crafts is that you can choose monthly subscription boxes, discovery boxes, creativity boxes, and even STEM science kits, and they are all eco-friendly.

KiwiBop March 2015 Postcards Review with Coupon Code

This month, our postcard pals took us on an exciting journey! My kids love getting their postcards from KiwiBop!

In this month's KiwiBop delivery, we received some awesome images of swimming sea unicorns. Narwhals have one long horn, which actually is a tooth, and these creatures are so cool looking. My daughter was excited to see that, somewhere in this world, there is an animal that looks like a unicorn.

Crafty Travels to Space with Space Scouts

Roxy and Jett have landed in our home! This time of year, the kids are always so busy with sports and activities, but come summer, they're bored so I love sampling activity packs for them to try. It allows me to see what they enjoy and also start a list of things we can do for the summer. When we were given a chance to review Space Scouts, I was thrilled!

Space Scouts and Animal Trackers Club are offered by the same company, although they target different two age groups. Space Scouts is for children ages 6+, while Animal Trackers is for kids ages 3+. Obviously the older kids can enjoy both, but it's good to have a sense of what to expect.

Pipsticks Review: March 2015

It's such a silly thing, but I have started to look forward to my monthly Pipsticks sticker delivery just because it's something fun and relatively easy to do. I went out and got a sticker book and have been putting all my new stickers in it.

I think I may have received two envelopes this month on accident, although one was very similar to the stickers I'd received previously. It included the same cars, shapes, robots, owls, etc.

Kiwi Crate Review: February 2015

In January, I signed up for Kiwi Crate because they had the very cool Glow Worm Kit for free. I debated about ordering this subscription because all of the reviews I had seen of it were from other bloggers who had received it for free for review. Boxy pays for 95% of her subscriptions and the ones she receives for free, she usually ends up buying anyway. I feel like there is a difference between a review written by someone who has spent their hard-earned money for it versus someone who was asked to provide a review and received the product for free. Since she doesn't have kids, though, the subscription boxes for children fall to me. Both Boxy and I take pride in the fact that no matter how the product is received the review will ALWAYS be honest, so I decided to try it out and see how I felt about it.

I enjoyed the Glow Worm Kit and went ahead with ordering a subscription to Kiwi Crate to share with my children. This is my first subscription box from them.

Little Passports World Coin Collection Review and Giveaway

Nerd Block, Jr. Girls Review: February 2015

I don't have kids, so I have no business subscribing to Nerd Block, Jr. However, last month they were featuring Harry Potter and I got suckered in. It was disappointing, but that's on me, not them, since I'm not a kid and I don't have kids. 

This month, though, the Nerd Block, Jr. was AWESOME. If all the boxes were like this, I wouldn't even be embarrassed to subscribe!
