Nature Box Review: April 2015

Oh, I love my Nature Box - and the cashews are back! We received a hefty haul this time around, because my husband wanted to double up on his beloved cashews.

There were seven packs in this box and I am ashamed to admit that most of them are gone. The first three bags included a bag of Salted Caramel Pretzel Pops, which we still have and they're good, but not as good as other snacks.

We also received Blueberry Greek Yogurt Pretzels, which are my favorite, I think. This box, which comes monthly, was polished off nearly in a weekend and these were the first to go. We got the box in the morning and I finished this bag that night. They're really good, so don't judge me.

This time, we ordered two bags of Jalapeno Cashews and I had a bunch, but they were gone fast, too. My husband looks forward to these so much!

Graze Review: April 1

I always enjoy my Graze box deliveries! This month, there was a real mix and that was exciting.

On the top layer, we received Fiery Seeds, which were spicy sunflower and pumpkin seeds. This was least favorite, only because there were a ton of seeds and I have a lot of snacks now! We also received Thai Sweet Chili Bites, which are soy crackers with sweet chili dip and these were AWESOME! My husband and I fought over finishing them!

There was a pack of Lemon Drizzle Flapjack. Graze includes Flapjacks a lot and this was such a nice "it's almost spring" treat! They were refreshing and sweet.

The last snack on the top layer was White Choc Raspberry Cheesecake, a mix of white chocolate, hazelnuts, and raspberry cranberries. Trust me - this tastes as good as it sounds!!

The bottom tier included Key Lime Pie, which has become a favorite (mini meringues, vanilla cookies, and lime raisins), and Punchy Protein Nuts, a mix of pistachios, almonds, and chili lime cashews. I loved this, but I barely got any before my husband took it and finished it off!

I've enjoyed Garden of England before - a mix of dried apples, mini strawberries, and black currants. It was good and less sweet than the other sweet snacks, so I liked the balance.

The last snack was Tomato & Basil Pizza, which is another I only tried quickly before my husband stole it. This was a mix of tomato breadsticks, basil crunchini, and cheesy cashews.

Urthbox Review: March 2015

I had signed up for Urthbox when they were offering a deal, so I got the most for the lowest price, but I can't even believe how packed this month's box was! I really don't even know where to start.

The good news is that there was only one item we couldn't eat, which is pretty awesome! These were some energy gummies, and even if they didn't have gelatin, I likely wouldn't have eaten them anyway so no worries there.

I'm just going to try to list it all, because there was SO MUCH STUFF!! We got two bags of Banana Brittle, as well as two bags of No Oatmeal Cookie mix, from Urban Remedy. I have had a gift card here for a while but I haven't tried any of their foods yet, so I am very excited about this.

Nature Box Review: March 2015 (#2)

I had thought I misordered since there were no Jalapeno Cashews in my March Nature Box, so I accidentally ordered a second box this month only to discover they're just out right now. Now I have a lot of extra snacks, so I am skipping April.

Something Snacks Review: March 2015

I love the entire concept of Something Snacks, because I get a lot of snack subscription boxes, but this one is unique. They offer a mix of things you know, things you might be willing to try, and things that are new and different.

This box was really great to share with my husband, because it was well mixed between sweet and savory snacks. He's also a lot less adventurous about snacks than I am, so while I will try anything, he tends to stick to things he already knows he likes.

This month's theme was St. Patrick's Day, so the snacks were mainly Irish or green. Some may have been a stretch, but it's really hard to theme every snack!

My husband tried the potato chips first (crisps if they are British, but clearly they are not made in Britain since they say chips). These were salt and vinegar, a flavor I really don't like, so he got them all to himself. He said they were heavier on the vinegar than he's used to, but he still ate the bag quite fast so it couldn't have bothered him too much!

Nibblr Box Review: March 14

Nibblr is one of those subscription boxes that really does what it does well. It's always on time, billing is consistent, and you can expect quality snacks with each shipment. When you get something you don't like, you just review it and you don't get it again. Nice and simple.

I didn't end up trying the Sweet Chili Pistachios, simply because I wanted to keep them sealed so my husband could bring them to work. He loves pistachios and he loves spicy things, so these were obviously a hit. I'm sure if we get them again I will enjoy one or two before he eats them all!

Theoretically, I expected to love Georgia on My Mind, because I love peaches, blueberries, pomegranate, and pecans, but they aren't kidding when they say sweet and spicy. I felt like the spicy kind of killed all the sweet, though. It wasn't too hot or anything, but I feel like the rest of the flavor was lost and I was looking forward to the sweet more.

Red, White, and Boom was a repeat. This mix of shortbread, blueberries, and raspberries is so yummy. It's tart from the berries, but well balanced with the shortbread. Definitely a favorite!

Our last snack was The Full Monterey. We really like the cheddar and cheddar/asiago snacks, so we expected to like this. Although we liked it, we didn't love it. That's mostly because Monterey Jack is just an inferior cheese.  I mean, if you're eating a cheese snack, why not go cheddar, right?

Graze Box Review: March 5

Signing up for the Graze Box double pack biweekly has been great, but now I long for the days it arrives! And both my double packs have been even better than my regular weekly pack (which was already awesome), so I'm happy!

I admit that I cheat and check my boxes while they're in transit to me so I know what I got. It ruins the surprise but when they're boxes like this one, it just makes arrival that much more exciting!

Graze Box Review: February 7

Graze just recently moved to an 8-snack box, so this is my last 4-snack box for a while. We will be switching to the eight snacks biweekly instead (maybe they can throw in two sets of that Summer Berry Compote...).

I'm a big fan of these snack boxes, because they have a lot of variety, hit the spot, and are designed to help you avoid oversnacking. The portions are small, but they're just enough.

Nibblr Box Review: February 3

I am always so excited on Nibblr and Graze days, because the boxes are consistently good. We are starting to see repeats in our boxes with Nibblr, which is a little disappointing since there are plenty we haven't tried, but at the same time, I like that we are getting things we have liked.

Graze Box Review: January 30

This week's Graze box was amazing! And you can order big boxes of certain items now from them, so I may consider swapping over to that eventually instead of continuing the weekly box. I'm not sure, though, yet, so for now, I will keep the snack box. Besides, I like some of the items most that don't have bigger versions (see below for my absolute favorite Graze item ever!). They also added a low calorie, low sugar, sweet only, and savory only option.

Nibblr Box Review: January 27

We had a bit of a hiccup with the mail last week, so everything ran behind. I already knew what was coming in this upcoming week's Nibblr Box before I even received this box! Anyway, with that aside, we had another mix of sweet and savory. Nibblr does a great job with that, since my husband is more of a salty snacks person and I love fruits and sweet items.

Graze Box Review: January 23

This week's Graze box was, of course, delightful. It was probably my least exciting one so far, but mostly because the snacks were straightforward. There were no oddly flavored fruit mixes this time around. Most of the items remained as "try it" items that I don't mind receiving, but don't feel enthusiastic about seeing much more often than once in a while.

Nature Box Review: January 2015

I had originally tried Nature Box when it was free, but when I reviewed their site, I just didn't think I would like it enough to justify a subscription. Then the sampler box came and I was proven wrong. Nature Box sends you five resealable snacks a month, and you can either let them surprise you entirely or pull from a pantry you put together of things that interest you or you've liked in the past.

Nibblr Box Review: January 19

These snack boxes like Nibblr are just so good! Between my husband and I, though, they don't last very long. This week's snack box was even better than the last one. This one was almost gone by the end of the night when we received it.

Love with Food Review: January 2015

Love with Food is a pretty amazing subscription box. You get snacks, the majority of which are very healthy, and they donate a meal for each box purchased to someone in need within the US. That's a win-win for everyone.

One of the best things about Love with Food is that the little booklet not only tells you what you're getting, but it also lists most items' ingredients. It's nice going in knowing if you can eat the food! Another thing I like about Love with Food is that they, as many boxes do, allow you to review items from the box and earn points. Eventually you can turn those points into a credit to buy more of products you tried in your box. You can also buy the items directly through Love with Food if you like them and your local stores don't carry them (and sometimes it's cheaper because they usually include coupons).

This is the Tasting Box. The Deluxe includes more snacks and some items not included in the Tasting Box as well.

Graze Box Review: January 16

There's really not much better than a little box of snacks in your mailbox, next to bills and junk mail. This week's Graze box is fantastic, too, and I'm so excited about all four snacks they included. It was a perfect mix of sweet and savory (two of each).

Nature Box Review (Sampler)

Clearly I like snacks, so when I saw that Nature Box runs a deal where you can try a sampler for free (you pay $2 for shipping) before deciding if you want to subscribe, I signed up. Before the sampler arrives, you can cancel and I did, because I figured I had enough snacks and I didn't see enough options to add to my pantry right away. However, after trying the sampler, I went back on and started my subscription. The snacks were not only tasty, but extremely fresh and hearty.

The sampler contains trial sizes of four snacks and a full size of another. The normal box has five full size items pulled from your pantry (or they will surprise you).

Nibblr Review - January 9

I have two snack subscription reviews for you this weekend. The first is of Nibblr, a service that operates similarly to Graze (which I reviewed earlier this week). Nibblr can also be delivered according to your schedule. It's even more flexible, as you actually just enter the dates you want the delivery to come next. Otherwise, you can also choose weekly, biweekly, monthly, etc. This service delivers to home or work and you rate the four snacks you get (no thanks, try it, like it, love it). If you want to try it, you can use my referral code (20847) to get your first box free. After that, you can log in to your account and pause or cancel, but you probably won't want to! My husband and I currently have both Graze and Nibblr coming weekly because I wanted to have more to review, but eventually I may try to schedule them so they alternate weeks. For similar services, though, they don't have much crossover in snacks, which is great. Although some of the same items come up, they're used in different ways and I love this kind of variety!

Graze NibbleBox Review - January 6

If there's one box that's hard to find fault with, it's Graze, because who doesn't like snacks? (You can use this referral link to get your first and fifth boxes for free, too!) Graze delivers four small packs of healthy snacks to either your home or office and you can get the boxes weekly, biweekly, once a month, or really on whatever schedule you choose (you can always log in and skip a box or get an extra). I love that you can have them come to work even, so you can have your snacks at the ready. We currently subscribe on a weekly basis, although I'm always changing my mind. I thought it was more sensible to get the boxes less often, but, well, snacks. ;)

Another thing I love about Graze is that they tell you what you're getting once it ships and then you can go to your account after you try the snacks and rate them. It's a fairly simply rating scale - everything in their system is marked "try" when you start. Anything marked try will likely eventually show up. Anything you don't want or if you don't like the snacks you get can be marked "trash" and they won't send it to you. I did this before we even started getting snacks because I had to get wasabi peas off the list! Otherwise, I am generally up for anything because I'm not vegan and all of Graze's snacks are appropriate for vegetarians. There's an option to auto-trash anything with nuts, gluten, or dairy, anything that's not suitable for vegans, spicy foods, and even anything requiring a microwave! Because the packs are all made in the same facility, there is the possibility of cross-contamination for those with severe allergies, though. Your other options are "like," which means you will see the snack more often and "love," meaning you will have it sent regularly.

Isn't it lovely? Who wouldn't want a box of tasty treats?!
