I have to admit I'm not a big fan of Walmart, but I did want to try the quarterly beauty box. These are free boxes of samples from major companies typically sold at Walmart - you simply pay $5 per box for shipping (so $20 a year).
There was nothing exciting about this box, since most of these things are products you can buy at, well, Walmart. However, if you're debating about picking up some of these brands of items, the box gives you a chance to try them first.

Birchbox Men Review: January 2015
As I mentioned in my previous Birchbox review, I thought it would be good to see what the men's box offered. I've seen other box reveals and although some of the products other people received were better (gloves, for example), there were a couple of items in this box that were interesting. I don't think the value is there, though, given that these are mainly cheaper items and the box costs twice as much as the women's.
I'm still on the fence about Birchbox, but I'm giving them a little time to adjust to my profile and hopefully to see my feedback integrated. I will do the same for the men's, but my patience will likely wane quicker with this if the value doesn't improve.

Birchbox Review: January 2015
From what I can tell, everyone loves their Birchbox subscription. I haven't been thrilled with mine, but I was convinced to at least give it a few more months. This box was better for me than the last one, so maybe I ended up with leftovers last month or something. I do like the little boxes, so there's that.

Petit Vour Review: December 2014
Petit Vour is a beauty subscription, which isn't normally my thing. However, they only use cruelty free and vegan products, something I love, so this is one I feel passionate about subscribing to if only to support these companies.
This is the December 2014 box. I love the box itself because it's bright pink and easy to find! I also like that it's small enough to store, while big enough to hold samples.

Birchbox Review - December 2014
I was somewhat surprised to receive the December Birchbox, since I signed up late in the month, but it also means I only have to wait a few more days for January's!
Birchbox has both a men's and women's monthly subscription, and although I signed up for both, my husband has little to no interest in his before he's even seen it. That'll be interesting when it arrives.
To be honest, I'm not a very "girly" girl. I don't wear much makeup and I only need to buy beauty products once a year, but Birchbox is only $10 a month so I figured why not? I like some of the items I've seen in other reviews and I figured there would be items I would like, but after a couple of months, this is obviously not a subscription made for someone like me.
